For the last 9 years, rugby has been a huge part of my life. All three of my kids have competed, my 15 year old daughter being the strongest player. Such an inspiring article from Peter Stringer. "My size is a major part of who I am, maybe it even defines me as a rugby player."In the sport of Rugby, some players are larger than others and some are faster than others. There is a suitable position for them all - it is such an inclusive sport.Rugby is a perfect example where a team plays to their strengths. A strengths-based approach is a perspective or methodology that focuses on identifying and leveraging an individual's or group's strengths, rather than dwelling solely on weaknesses or deficits. It involves recognizing and nurturing the positive attributes, skills, talents, and resources that individuals possess, with the goal of empowering them to achieve their potential and accomplish their goals. At 2b Limitless we want to work 'with' your strengths. We want to coach you to maximise your potential and get you to perform at your best. When was the last time someone asked you: What is good about you? A simple question like this can be challenging at first, but once it is given consideration the conversations can snowball and a realisation will unearth about how good you actually are at what you do. What do you think is possible when you are feeling like this? So: What is good about you? I would love to hear your response. *feel free to DM if you would rather not respond in public.#strengths #coaching #rugby #inclusive #ciaranmcbreen #2blimitless #communityhttps://lnkd.in/d5NMsn_S

Post 226: Define your successThe former English cricketer Graham Thorpe died of multiple injuries earlier this month after being struck by a train. What initially looked like an accident turned out to be a case of #suicide. His family was strong enough to disclose that he took his own life.He was one of the most successful English #cricketers. He played 100 Tests for Englandโone of 17 menโand scored 16 Test centuries in his career. Post-retirement, he spent 12 years in various coaching roles. He was part of the staff when the England menโs team won the 2019 World Cup.He was considered mentally and physically tough on the field. He had the support of his family, his wife, and two daughters. But for the most part of his life, he fought #depression and #anxiety and had made a serious attempt to take his own life on an earlier occasion too.We would call him successful because this is how success is defined according to worldly standards. However, he was fighting his inner demons. He wasnโt happy for some reason despite being successful. We all yearn to be successful. The best thing that can happen to a person is to be successful as well as happy. But thatโs rarely the case. We are #successful but miserable, mostly. The most ideal situation is when happiness itself is the goal for being successful. Regardless of your condition, I would consider it a success if you can find happiness. It is said that โhappiness is the gap between expectations and reality.โ The lesser the gap, the happier you are. If you can fill that emptiness and void, you could be #happy (possibly).I think it comes down to how we define success for ourselves. We should determine what success means to us first, not according to the world.#life #health #fitness #happiness #thoughts #writehttps://lnkd.in/dguVZmKG.

What many players these days are MISSING in their gameโฆ๐คฏ Itโs not technique or game understanding!Read below๐In any sport, especially football, hard work beats talent if talent doesnโt work hard. Most of the TOP professional FOOTBALLERS have a BURNING DESIRE to KEEP GOING ๐ฅ These 3 key things help to take a playerโs game to the NEXT LEVEL and get remarkable results on and off the pitch:1๏ธโฃ Practice a little bit EVERYDAY to get better everyday on the football pitch2๏ธโฃ Have a solid mindset and talk to the EXPERTS to gain the best psychological edge for themselves for EVERY MOMENT 3๏ธโฃ Have confidence, self-belief and KNOW exactly how to deal with extreme pressure and REJECTION in football and lifeIt also makes sure they have SUPERIOR CONFIDENCE and self belief in what they do which is a MUST to be the best you can be, get scouted or even make it as a PROSave this, youโll thank me later ๐ On your sideEuon

This Foundation has the potential to fill a much needed void in athlete transition. Most athletes are passionate and wholly dedicated. The life they lead involves an incredibly high work ethic coupled with countless unappreciated sacrifices along the way โ all geared towards peak high-performance with a goal of winning! In the realm of athlete transition, it's evident that many sporting organisations often overlook the crucial aspect, leading to significant distress among athletes."Players can feel lost, and with that comes various challenges."Little attention is given to the athlete as a human being; instead, there's a reiteration of their job-centric identity, a pitfall many people endure (not only athletes). The consequence? Grappling with profound misery, a sense of emptiness, and a loss of direction.Who are you, fundamentally? What do you desire for your life and your family? What ignites your passion? These are questions that can help kick-start your efforts in establishing who you really are.If this strikes a chord with you, whether an athlete or otherwise: get in touch to explore how to make your transition joyful and authentic.

ENGLAND, EXETER, RV ONEWhen you get Tom Johnson (England Rugby, Exeter Chiefs & RV One) at your event, you have to get him on the video to answer some questions right? I love how Tom (along with the majority of people in the league) answers the questions in the same (and perhaps unexpected) way. When asked if they would rather lose weight easily or put on muscle easily, the majority opt for the muscle. When asked if you'd rather never sweat in a workout or never feel sore, it's never sore. And then to have strong legs and weak arms, or weak arms and strong legs. The answer is nearly always legs. Tom chose to never be sore, have strong legs and easily gain muscle, over never sweat, have strong arms and easily lose body fat. Imagine if everyone thought like this. Social media would be a very different place. We wouldn't care that we looked a mess in the gym from sweating, we'd be more concerned with muscle gain than getting abs and having strong legs as a foundation beats the 'suns out guns out' brigade. Tom talks about being mentally fit, I'd argue that answering the questions we posed to him in the way he did would go a long way in making him mentally happier as well as physically, whilst so many chase the physical at the expense of the mental. Something to think about, would you have answered the questions in the same way? I'm not saying either is wrong, it's just fascinating to hear all the responses. How Tom is he's going to do in the league? that's a different story and one that we're going to be very interested in following. Kate Ford Tom Johnson Steve Orton Vince Mayne Ben Fraser#afl #archon #

Football: a magnificent victory Another truly magnificent victory yesterday. And perhaps a career transforming strike by Ollie Watkins. One can hear perhaps the sound of nibbling on the crust of humble pie. One might recall โyou canโt win anything with kidsโ. Not so, as we all know. Positional sense might well improve with age. Muscle mass and strength in men might peak somewhere between late 20s and mid-thirties. But these are not the only key criteria. Kobbie Mainoo is 19, Jude Bellingham has just turned 21, Bukayo Saka is 22 (and Lamine Yamal is 16..). Astonishing. But then aerobic capacity in male athletes is said to peak between 17 and 22. In a game that often require endless sprints that is hugely important. Some of the finest works of art, literature and music were created by precocious youth. And so also it seems in sport, including football. If points were awarded for power placement and artistic execution Lamine Yamalโs would take 10/10. And Bellinghamโs? What might be extraordinarily difficult is to spot the talent quickly enough and to incorporate these rare individuals into an existing, rolling squad and forge an extended team across a wide age band. It is all the more obvious now that Southgate has that exceptionally rare ability. When looking at who might be suitable to lead a national side we might have to revisit archetypal views of heroism, if that is the correct term. It is not necessarily to be found in the square jaw, barrel chest and strutting braggadocio of Iron man or Thor. Some of these might go very well on the field of play, perhaps, but seem far less likely to succeed when shifted to the technical area. A superficially slightly bookish calm and apparently gentle demeanour might, and we now see does, conceal a great deal. Calm waters run deep. (But looking at the Press on 12/7 perhaps we might not be looking any time soon?). There is luck and chance in football, though it is not a lottery on the field, nor as we now know in the taking of penalties. But there is an element of the lottery of life in who is available to play. There is a sifting out that goes on from the earliest point at which boys start to play the game, and any number of points at which they might drop off, by their own choice or that of others. (Some like Ollie Watkins might fear they had missed the cut). Evaluation criteria are applied. Fitness, strength, technique can all be developed but one relatively rare thing cannot. About 10% of the population is left-handed and left footed. Even if with training players can aim to be ambidextrous (etymologically to have two right hands (and feet)), it never seems to be fully achieved. Though some are really very good. There is a significant advantage to those who are genuinely left footed. Hence the huge value of Luke Shaw in particular, when fit. Ditto Saka (hence his periodic shifting to left back) and Foden. So for that matter incidentally Antoine Griezman and the remarkable Lamine Yamal.

How does Football (Soccer) relate to Life?Oh my friend, in more ways than one โฆ in more ways than one.As #DaniRojas from #TedLasso would say, and many fans would likely agree,โFootball Is Life!โMy hubby, who has been a #football/soccer and hockey fan for a long time, is watching the #CopaAmericaFootball (#Soccer) Games 2024, as well as the #Euroโs (#UEFAEuropeanChampionship) 2024.During which, life realizations hit....As I watched this man thrash around, I remembered that night. That terrible night of unexpected divine good fortune. That night that changed my life from remaining stuck, to living in the present. The night that as I write this to you now, has led to me moving forward enough to notice a change in my everyday. From feeling stuck in a never-ending loop of turmoil, questioning, heartache, and confusion (to name a few)...to living in the presentANDlooking forward to the future!...An instant is all it takes to change your life. Your world. The way you live your lifeand exist in the worldas you once knew it.Well, #injury can do that, and so can #trauma. Luckily for us, we all live through various injuries and traumas. Question is though, how well does one rise โฆ after falling. (...#romanticcomedy).Perhaps number three is the immediate intuition or reflex ofknowingyou areโฆNotokay. And then the inexplicable fear striking instantly. Some of which might bewhat does it mean for me, my body, my career โฆ my, life?!...All I new was my life felt completely and utterly #SHATTERED.It was painful beyond explanation. Each experience has felt like a variation of anear-death experienceโ just,it was the death of a thing. An idea. An ideal. Relationship(s). Lifestyle. Etc..The death of โฆA previous existence.A previous version of me, myself, & I.Like the version of myself that I had cloaked myself in was being VIOLENTLY RIPPED from me.I tell you this, because I believe it is helpful to know that you too, can #survive! That suffering is as much a part of life as living. As much a part of life as the possibility of joy. Of #growth. Of heartache. Of the #PursuitOfHappiness. That we can #overcome our struggles, our fears, our โdeathsโ and โrebirthsโ from those moments that dramatically alter our world and have possibly the greatest capacity to change us and help us develop, evolve, grow. For those of you who perhaps do not watch soccer and/or watch documentaries and/or follow either of these people, you might not know that #Deadpoolโs very own#RyanReynoldsand#RobMcElhenneybought a team and worked to create positive impactful change not only for the team, but also the community the club (team) is a part of.In the#WrexhamDocumentary, you can watch the evolution of not just the team/club, but also that of the community...https://lnkd.in/d3B4SieE

The stamina in the motivation is more important than the intensity of the motivation - Arsene WengerFootball Hall of Fame Former Coach of Arsenal Football ClubI have tested for years young boys from 16 to 20 years old, personality profile and we tested measuring different aspects such as intensity of the motivation, quality to integrate team, sociability, desire to help, how you want to be the first but as well stamina in the motivation .This last one is the most underrated . Iโve seen so many average players become very good players, who were very normal but they were ready on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and on Saturday and other many failed because they were ready on Monday, but not on Tuesday, a little bit on Wednesday and bye bye my friend. Stamina, Itโs an absolutely underrated qualityโฆ in French, we called it โperseveranceโ, tenacity, the ones who donโt gave up. Resistance to stress also takesโฆ somewhere you have to walk in the dressing room and make yourself notice, not many are capable of that. Personality as well takes a great part on someone successful life.dontgiveupworld.com #arsene #arsenewenger #arsenal #arsenalfc #stamina #staminainmotivation #motivation #football #footbalquotes #underrated #perserverance #tenacity #dontgiveup #dontgiveupworld #personality #coach #coaching #intensity #hustlers Arun Pandit ยฎ Dont Give Up World Shivangi Kaushik
